Plants located in the alpine tundra.
Throughout the alpine tundra, you will notice that there are many different types of plants. Let us start off with the plant known as the Mountain Iris. The Mountain Iris is a species of plant that has light blue colors, dark purple veins, and grows from late May to early July. Perfect for mammals like pikas to come and eat them during the summer time.
Another plant species is the Mountain Lupine plant. This plant is within the pea family and can grow up to three feet tall. Colors vary from a creamy white to different shades of blue.
The last plant example I will give is the tall chiming bells species. This plant is in the Borage family with bell-shaped plants that frow on 8-31 inch stems, with a pinkish and blue color. Theese plants grow around June through August.
